Most patients don’t know that Dr. Davis is serious about cycling. You’ll find him on the trainer or outside riding almost every morning. Last weekend he participated in the Tour of Park City. The Tour of Park City is one of the toughest events in Utah cycling. It starts in Park City and heads to Evanston. From there riders take the scenic mirror lake hwy (150) back to Kamas and finally finish in Park City. It’s 160 difficult miles with almost 10,000 feet of climbing and lots of head wind.
Dr. Davis won the KOM for his group by beating out over 100 riders to the top. Each year there is a KOM (King of the mountain competition) where the first rider to the top of a designated climb wins. The KOM for The Tour of Park City is located at the top of Bald Mountain pass at over 10,000 feet in elevation. Riders have over 100 miles in their legs by the time they get to that point. Of course Dr. Davis won’t bring up the fact that he won but we his staff will! Dr. Davis is dedicated to everything he does; in or out of the office. His personal drive and quest for doing things better every day make him both a great surgeon and a great person.
