WE USE ONLY THE MOST ADVANCED LASERS.
THE ILASIK™ PROCEDURE
The Most Advanced Technologies Combine to Tailor Vision Correction for You
For those seeking 20/20 vision or better with one of the highest safety profiles available, the iLASIK procedure offers clarity in the sea of confusion that consumers face when considering vision correction. The iLASIK procedure is the most advanced laser vision correction procedure featuring, for the first time, all of the industry’s most stellar technologies and techniques in one premium procedure.
WaveScan™ Wavefront 3-D Mapping:
Waves of light precisely map the anatomy of the patient’s eye to identify uniquely individual visual errors with measurements 25 times more accurate than standard techniques used to measure glasses and contact lenses. This “fingerprint” of the patient’s eye allows surgeons to customize the laser vision correction to the patient to the exact curvature of the cornea and microscopic hills and valleys within the tissue that contribute to poor vision.

IntraLase™ FS (femtosecond) Laser:
Replacing the handheld microkeratome blade with an ultra-fast laser improves safety with reduced flap complications by eliminating virtually all of the most severe, sight-threatening flap complications. Patient measurements guide the computer-driven laser to create a customized corneal flap with micro-precision, while simultaneously preparing an optimal corneal surface below the flap for better visual outcomes. The iLASIK procedure is the first to incorporate two lasers with the combined ability to tailor a patient’s laser vision correction procedure to each individual eye from start to finish.

Iris Registration (IR):
Precise alignment with Iris Registration provides a fully automated, non-contact, method for aligning and registering wavefront corrections in preparation for the laser correction treatment. In this way each laser pulse is precisely aligned to your eye even if your eye were to move during the procedure.

Advanced CustomVue™ Procedure with the VISX™ Star S4 Excimer Laser System:
The crown jewel of the customized iLASIK procedure is Advanced CustomVue procedure, which stands in a class of its own with the broadest range of FDA approved indications on the market today. Incorporating the precision of wavefront guidance, the Advanced CustomVue LASIK procedure treats for the reduction or elimination of low to moderate myopic astigmatism up to -6.00 DMRSE, with cylinder between 0.00 and -3.00 D in patients 21 years of age or older, with an Optical Zone of 4.0 to 9.0 mm and treatment of 4.5 and 9.5 with an Optical Zone of 4.0 to 9.0 mm and a Treatment Zone of 4.5 to 9.5 mm. With this impressive span of indications, the Advanced CustomVue procedure makes laser vision correction possible for more people than ever.

VISX STAR S4IR Exciimer Laser:
The most advanced treatment available. The Visx Star has a tracker, which makes it one of the safest excimer lasers available. This laser comfortably treats a very wide range of patient prescriptions.
Intralase-Bladefree LASIK:
At Davis Vision, we use the newly introduced 4th generation 60 KHz Intralase FS laser. Intralase has been a huge integral part in laser vision correction. In the past, the step of creating a flap in the cornea had been done with a surgical blade. By using the new Intralase laser, your procedure is totally blade free. The Intralase laser dramatically reduces the risk of complication. It has increased the candidates of those who can benefit from this new technology by allowing them the option of this procedure when they were previously told they were not a candidate for LASIK.

Bausch & Lomb ZyoptixTM Diagnostic Workstation:
Bausch & Lomb ZyoptixTM diagnostic workstation includes Orbscan® IIZ and Zywave ®II, and combines Wavefront and corneal topography diagnostics in one workstation.
